Bodice

Burgundy polyester satin with white cotton twill lining and ivory silk and lace trim. Lining buttons up front with bodice hook and eye overtop.
Pattern: Truly Victorian TV490 1892 Ball Gown Bodice
Modifications: lots

Made larger scoop neckline and removed top of sleeves for thin strap look.
Added lace trim as sleeves
Moved opening to front with lining buttoning up front.
Added crossover front overlays, one with rows of lace.
Shortened bodice hem for more of a late 1890s look.
Added lace inset to center back.
Added artificial flowers to front left

Skirt

Burgundy polyestere skirt with polyester cotton blend lining. Thinner waistband hook and eyes closure.
Pattern: McCall's M8231 1890s Blouse and Skirt
Modifications include:

31.5" waist Size 18 hips estimated because pattern only went up to size 12
Shortened skirt hem 3” and then shortened some more
Omitted train
Added hidden pockets to side-back seams
Added horsehair blend fabric facing with poly/cotton lining
Used one Hooke and eye at top waist and put placket on center back
Added gathered polyester chiffon to bottom of skirt

Shortened hem 3"
