Reproduction 1950s Housewives Dresses
Reproduction 1950s cotton cherry printed dress with aprong made for Fed Up Housewives meet up at Costume College 2025 Friday day.
I made three of the dresses using #LaughingMoonPatterns 134 Ladies "Go To" Shirtwaist Dress with different sleeve and collar variations. Cherry black printed cotton and two batiks.
Made two of the aprons with painted fruit in the same look as Miss Minutes from the Loki series. Other people embroidered their aprons.
I painted "All Work and No Play" on mine in washable marker. Made the knives by gluing cereal box cardboard together and painting just one side just in case needed to show it was fake/cardboard.
Made matching undershorts for extra pockets Simplicity S9611.
