Step 1. Create your garment specifications

Who are you? What will you be wearing? Mark URLs, bring photos, take a look at patterns, and have an idea of what character or type of garment you want. Gallery

Step 2. How to take your measurements

You want it to fit, don't you? The key is to take measurements while wearing the undergarments and shoes that you will be wearing with the finished garment. Wear your corset, pettiskirts, bloomers, hoopskirt, bumroll, platform shoes, etc., while you are taking measurements. Measurement Chart

Step 3. Order your costume

Take the information you gathered, put it in an email, and request a costume.

How much will it cost?

Depends on how long it takes to sew, the cost of the materials selected, the width of the fabric, and the size being made. A simple gathered skirt with a machine stitched hem will take about two hours and a waistcoat or bodice takes about six hours. Some pages will have an approximate cost estimater like below.
